Palo Santo also known as "holy wood" in Spanish has been used throughout history in Sacred Spiritual Ceremonies as it is widley known to provide Spiritual Purification. It is believed that the smoke cleanses negative energies, restores tranquility, calms emotions, removes obstacles, enhances vibrations, promotes good fortune, fosters creativity, and is also a preperation for medatition. Palo Santo is also know to keep flying insects away.
To light Palo Santo hold it at about a 45 degree ange and ignite for about 30 seconds but no more than 1 minute. Palo Santo naturally burns out after a few minutes and can be reignited as you please. Palo Santo initially burns black when lit. It is recommended that you burn Palo Santo in a fireproof bowl.
