Temporary Distractions

Temporarily taking your mind away is not going to make all your problems go away. You can avoid addressing your problems for as long as you want, but that won't make them any easier to deal with when you are forced to face them. You can be as busy as you want, engaged in as many activities as you can in a day, or even take a trip but your problems remain in the background. Yes, it's great to get away and get some "me time", relaxation, pleasure, clarity, or to get a break from the mundane tasks of life. However, when getting away, engaging in activities, or increasing your schedule is used as a means of avoidance you'll eventually find yourself with more to deal with. You can try to run from life, but life is always one step ahead of you. Don't end up running for so long that you wake up one day and realize you're exhausted, worn down, and desperate for a quick fix of your problems. Address what you need to address, and let go of the rest before it overtakes you. There's no need to run a race every time you have a problem.
