Surface Or Depth

Are you loved for the true you or the surface you? Do you even know the difference? The surface you is the pretend you, the you that wears a mask, the you that seeks to be accepted by false means, the you that fears rejection, the you that caters to the needs of others, the you that isn't living your truth, and the you that is exhausted by the end of each day. The true you has grown through life and faced your past pains, disappointments, discomforts, negative self-perceptions, and rejections. The true you has formed to be confident in who you are individually, self-aware, self-assured, evolving without apology, authentic, and loved from within the depths of your being. The surface you can't last and eventually the mask will be shattered, as you will have to face the you that is no longer hidden. You can make that choice to begin the journey to the true you and live your truth, or prolong and endure the uncomfortable complexities of the surface you. You always have a choice to make, or will be forced to face one day.
