Being patient isn't always as easy as it sounds. The reality is being patient can be frustrating, as waiting in the unknown causes discomfort and uncertainty. We can work hard and want to see the anticipated outcome, yet it eludes us, and we begin to rethink our efforts. Did I miss something? Should I have done this better? Did I make the right choice at all, embarking upon this journey? The ultimate question we ponder is, was it worth it? Was it worth the time, money, aggravation, sleepless nights, long days, and missing out? Was it worth the sacrifice? We can drive ourselves into despair the longer we think over what was in contrast to what is now. We have a job well done, as we accomplished what we set out to do. We must learn to wait for the timing and our plans to align. So what do you do in the interim while you wait? You practice patience. Focus on what is working out thus far; each apple that grows on a tree is still fruit, no matter the size, color, and shape. Find comfort in your determination and will to follow through. Sometimes the in-between time is what's needed to recenter and regain self-control. One day it will all come together, just be patient and see!
