Changing The Narrative

Changing habits is one of the most challenging areas because it forces us to extend beyond our comfort zone. Leaving the safety of the familiar may cause feelings to surface in a way that we haven't experienced. We have a dream, a plan, and a mission to accomplish, yet taking the first step and even the steps that follow may induce fear. Fear is the number one leading cause of stagnation, avoidance, withdrawal, and postponement. We may fear uncertainty, discomfort, others' opinions, and who we are becoming. We may feel that we are losing ourselves when we are gaining self-awareness by releasing what no longer fits or serves a purpose. This includes others that we have outgrown, which we find out along the way. Furthermore, creating more change as our inner circle may grow smaller. Yet, it may expand as we enter new territory and engage with diverse people as we navigate our environment. Changing from fear of discomfort and limited options to an outlook of unlimited possibilities through self-reassurance of one's capabilities. You can change the narrative and allow the outdated to fuel the new story, a new way of life, a life where you live without limits.
