Bright Side

Sometimes we have moments when we just don't want to hear it. We're having a tough day or week and things seem to be getting worse, and we're tired of trying to find the bright side of our situation. We talk to friends, family, or even seek professional support and the result no matter how its phrased is for us to see the bright side of things. However, we don't want to see the bright side, because we're so consumed with everything that's been going wrong or continues to go off course. We don't do this intentionally, but we unintentionally become offended by this bright side that we're supposed to seek. However, as time goes on we come to see the bright side more clearly. We focus on what we do have instead of what we don't. We laugh a little more at the situations that occur throughout our day. We talk to a friend that has good updates about a seemingly endless situation. We move outside of our frustrations and towards acceptance as we plan our next steps. Seeing the bright side of life doesn't have to be automatic. We're human and sometimes things occur in closer timeframes that may temporarily overwhelm us. It's the ability to move beyond our negative mindset into a positive mindframe that helps us to see the bright side of things. Be patient with yourself and know that the feelings that you experience are only temporary moments.
