Break Free From Stress

Stress is sneaky as it tends to creep up on you when you least expect it. You try your best to handle all that is on your plate, yet you find yourself quickly angered, feeling frustrated, tired, moody, not eating, oversleeping, crying, yelling, confused, overwhelmed, irritable, and highly stressed. You don't know when it all became too much to handle or how you can move beyond your present circumstance. Nevertheless, you still have responsibilities to handle but lack the energy and motivation to do them. Somehow you muster up enough strength to get it done. It may not be your best work, but you got it done. Sometimes your relaxation strategies do not help, and you feel out of breath and lost. What do you do? What have you done in the past that has helped you? What are you able to do now? You're able to take a moment for yourself and stop the chatter inside your head and in your environment. Turn off the phone and disconnect. Remove yourself to a place of peace, such as a park, or the beach. Get your favorite beverage, get your favorite snack or meal and take some time to breathe. Write in a journal, put your feet in the water, sand, or grass, take some pictures of the scenery and breathe. You do not have to figure it all out now, but you can nourish your mind, body, and spirit. Invest in your calm and peace of mind and see what wonders it can do. Break free.
